Pohjoismaiden Shakkiliiton lausunto:
Pohjoismaiden Shakkiliitto tukee täysin FIDEn päätöstä siirtää vuoden 2022 shakkiolympialaiset ja FIDEn kongressi pois Venäjältä. Lisäksi suosittelemme, että pelaajamme eivät osallistu Venäjällä järjestettäviin kilpailuihin. Ajatuksemme ovat Ukrainassa.
A statement by the Nordic Chess Federation:
Dear chess friends,
The Nordic Chess Federation and all its members Denmark, The Faroe Islands, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, fully support FIDE´s decision; moving the Olympiad, Olympiad for the disabled and the congress out of Moscow.
We also recommend our players not to take part in any tournaments within the Russian Federation. We encourage other federations worldwide to follow our path.
Our thoughts are with the Ukrainian chess community and the whole country at these difficult moments.
