Helsinki Chess Festival open, ELO-rated lightning chess tournament

Helsinki Chess Festival includes also an open, ELO-rated blitz – or lightning chess – tournament right after the invitational 10-player round-robin tournaments have been finalized. Also blitz tournament is a part of FIDE strategic goal to support chess in Nordic countries. It is the 2nd ELO-rated blitz tournament held in Finland, the first being played during the Finland’s 100 year festive. The tournament details are:

• Sunday 18.8. at 17–22, confirmation of participation at 16–16:30
• Venue: Chess Arena, address Hiomotie 10, Helsinki
• Thinking time: 3 min + 2 sec/move increment
• 9 double rounds (18 games)
• Fee 10 eur for all
• Fide rules applied
• Price fund 1000 eur
